Dude this is a chune

DavidOrr responds:

Sweet!

I'm loving the touhou covers man. A thought crossed my mind, if you have a phone, maybe you could try recording on that? Most phone mics would sound better than your laptop. Regardless, hope you keep posting more!

JustOcarin responds:

I have phone but(yes, it's make me feel some shame) it's very old. But hope I'll buy recording equipment soon. I love Touhou themes, and of course I'll post new Touhou covers. For now one Touhou cover come tomorrow.

Arrangement is great, does the job well as an OST. Few things I'd suggest to keep in mind for the future, the drums are absolutely buried in the mix. Also the change from having this mono square lead to the 2 square lead harmonies panned hard left and hard right is jarring, especially with how sudden and unexpected it is, it feels uncomfortable to listen to

Overall a well written song!

RyanAvx responds:

Thanks for the feedback! How would I go about making the drums more clear? They just sound a little bit messy if I increase the volume, and for the panning I loved the idea of having something play in each ear, but how would be a better way to ease the listener into it so it's not as harsh?

Absolutely stunning song, it's really really good. Only thing I would suggest, and even then it's a bit of a nitpick, maybe be a little more subtle with the ambiances, and try to transition them a little better. Again even then it's a small nitpick because this is an actual 10/10

BenElliottSound responds:

Oh gosh, thank you very, very much!

This is actually a pretty good cover for an ocarina solo! Obviously recording quality isn't great but the playing wasn't bad

JustOcarin responds:

Thank you for response! For now i have just old notebook and record by Audacity. What I don't like is my favorite part(1:20) is sounds low. Btw you may tell which themes or songs may sounds great on ocarina.

Fantastic song, very powerful and emotional, writing is top tier, hope you post some more!

KimSunHwa responds:

Thank you!

This sounds insane, chord progression is unique for this style and works so well, absolute solid song dude!

thornesounds responds:

thank u dude! Glad you like it :)

Sounds fantastic for being made on mobile, arrangement is good. Only think I'd really recommend is turning down the mix on the delay on the beep with the ping pong delay

FirechompGD responds:

Thanks for the advice! I will implement it it in future tracks.

I like it! Gives me heavy Paper Mario vibes, until the speedcore kicks in lmao

HelloManYT responds:

Lmaoo

Hey you've got a cool song, one big thing I noticed is how quiet the kick is, especially in the drops, it's absolutely buried and has no presence compared to the snare, which is loud and punching through great. Amazing writing and arrangement!

RedSkiesOfficial responds:

Thanks, ill rework the sidechain a lttle bit!

I make music, and I'm constantly searching through new music posted on this site!
